This started out as a blog about our domestic adoption. So all of the older posts are about that journey. It was an interesting one, and it led us to our son, Jacob. My dream since I was a little girl was typical of most little girls. I wanted to get married, and have children and be a stay at home Mom. Although, not a very popular choice for a profession now a day, I find it very rewarding. As a matter of fact, every day is an adventure! I've been told personally that the stay at home Mom profession isn't 'work', but spend a day with me and you'll see just how much 'work' it is!!! It's blessed work!

Jacob

What an absolute joy parenthood is! I wake up every morning and can't believe that I get to be this amazing little boy's Momma! He is 9 months old now, and is doing some pretty incredible things! He has become mobile (rolling, walking in his walker, army crawling), has 8 teeth, is trying to pull up on everything, and is eating us out of house and home! It's amazing what little babies can do. He just completed two weeks of music class thru Suzuki strings early childhood program. It was a lot of fun and Jacob seemed to really enjoy it. We will sign him up again for the Fall program, until then I hope to work with him on what we already learned. Jacob loves reading books and listening to all kinds of music. He loves it when Daddy plays his banjo, guitar or the upright bass. He likes it when Momma plays pandora or itunes on the computer, and he likes to watch Baby Einstein right after naptime while he eats a little snack. He is just such a neat kid! I have almost 1000 pictures of him up on Facebook already...that's just Facebook, not the personal pictures we have on our computer. Some call me obsessed. The grandparents, family and friends who live far away say they LOVE to see him grow up before their eyes, though. I enjoy posting them. Last Dr. visit 2 weeks ago, he was 21 lbs and 28.5 inches long. He is the picture of health!
